HvZ is made to benefit the lives of people with disabilities around the country. Pi Kappa Phi's philanthropy, the Ability Experience, will receive all donations provided from participants. The money goes toward supporting those who are affected with disabilities so that they have access and can live normal lives just like anyone else with many forms of accessibility. More information about the Ability Experience can be found by clicking the Ability Experience name. Any donation amount is extremely helpful and much appreciated. Please donate through the University of Cincinnati chapter of Pi Kappa Phi at the link below:
Humans vs. Zombies is a game of tag. All players begin as humans, and a few are randomly chosen to be the “Original Zombies.” The Original Zombies tag human players and turn them into zombies. Zombies must tag and eat a human every 24 hours or they starve to death and are out of the game. The game is played 8 am to 8 pm every day on September 3rd through September 6th, 8 am to 4 pm September 7th, and 8 am to 2 pm September 8th. September 8th will be the last day of play for HvZ 2019.
September 3rd - 8 am to 8 pm (starting day)
September 4th - 8 am to 8 pm
September 5th - 8 am to 8 pm
September 6th - 8 am to 8 pm
September 7th - 8 am to 4 pm (FCC game at 7:30 pm)
September 8th - 8 am to 2 pm (last day)
The Zombies win when all human players have been tagged and turned into zombies. The Humans win by surviving long enough for all of the zombies to starve or by surviving until the last day September 8th at 2 pm.
Most areas on campus are “no play zones,” where the game is permanently suspended. Blasters must be concealed and no players may be stunned or tagged. These areas include all UC buildings which consists of:
The game does not use the entire campus and is limited to certain areas. Leaving the free-play zones while playing HvZ may result in a ban from the game. These areas include:
Rules created for the safety of all players are strictly enforced. Violation of safety rules will result in a ban from the game.
Don’t be a douchebag. Everyone plays Humans vs. Zombies to have fun, and the rules of HvZ only exist because we agree they do. That’s why the most important rule of Humans vs. Zombies is to treat your fellow players with respect, and gracefully accept when you have been tagged or stunned.
